SO glad someone finally mocked this ridiculous imagery.

The original really bugged me when I saw it. Yes some of the top row were suffering from eating disorders or went under the knife to surgically enhance their bodies, but the others were naturally shaped, thinner, smaller busted, with not much in the way of bottoms.

It really REALLY bothers me when I read or hear the debate that curvier women are ‘real women’…We’re ALL REAL women!

Whether you’re clinically obese or stick thin. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and whilst I obviously adore the classic 50’s curvy girls with their immaculate hair and perky breasts…I am well aware that I will probably always be short, sparrow armed and disproportionately busted. And I’m ok with that. I’m really comfortable in my own skin, because my body is a resiliant and strong, with unimaginable capabilities.

I think women should stop encouraging this tomfoolery. And if on the larger side, to the point where it is impeding on their health, stop hiding behind the guise of ‘I’m a real women - I’m curvy’ and work on their health instead of degrading other womens natural body shapes.

Now where did I put my soapbox?
